Hi my friends,
I hope all is well today. Thanks for coming by for our 54th TGI Saturdays blog hop. What an achievement to be proud of. I love it when you come for a visit. Though I’d love it if you’d talk to me more (comment, why don’t ya). Thanks so much for taking the time to share your great posts with us.
The day I’m writing this post is actually January 23rd and the snow is falling outside. I’m writing this post so early because this is the first of 3 1/2 months of TGI Saturdays pre-scheduled posts. Why am I pre-scheduling so many post in advance. Well, the reason is because I’m soon going to have another baby, a new addition to our family of six. Soon we’ll have our own 7th Heaven -lol (did you watch that show?).
I’m calling these pre-scheduled post “Saturday Inspirations,” the purpose of these posts are to inspire, encourage and uplift. So I hope you enjoy, please feel free to comment during this time of pre-scheduled posts. I’ll be checking my comments as often as I can and it will be a way for us to still connect.
I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God’s gift to man.
Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 (ESV)
Sometimes we have those “Ah” moments, those times in life when you feel a genuine surge of joy and happiness in your spirit. For a small moment worries, concerns, challenges, obstacles; their images all fade into a blurred background and all you see is beauty, color, radiance. You are reminded of why we live, why we fight, why we never give-up. We grab those moments and we hold on to them in our memories and keep them there to help keep the light shinning bright inside of us when we are having a rough season. Those little nuggets of happiness triggered by a sincere smile, the sound of laughter, heaven on your taste buds, music to your ears, an amazing sight, an awesome adventure, a favorite thing. Get my drift. It could be something big or something so small, but the joy it brings is not small at all. I wish you many of those little nuggets in your lifetime. I hope you enjoy my poem.
Little Nuggets of Happiness
At this moment I feel complete
At this moment I can hear my heart beat
At this moment I feel blessed
A little nugget of true happiness
Dear Lord, help me preserve
this feeling in my heart wherever I go
So when times are rough and times are tough
And I’m feeling a bit low
I can hold on to my nugget of happiness
And ignite my spiritual glow
Help me Lord to always remember to let this happiness show
And through my entire being let its essence flow

Latisha, best wishes as you enter this last phase of your pregnancy. The *home stretch* can be challenging, huh?! Prayers for your entire family as you anticipate and get ready for 7th Heaven (yup, I remember that show, though I didn’t watch it!)
I really enjoyed your poem. Sometimes I find myself in a funk, kinda discouraged, and it’s hard to feel much joy during those times. But, so true, about taking with us a nugget of happiness! This winter it’s been very cold in our mountains, and having a fire in the fireplace is a necessity. I am surprised how many mornings there are still some embers glowing if you stir up the ashes. I thought about that when I read your poem. Yes, we need nuggets of happiness, a few glowing embers, to help us in the rough times.
GOD BLESS!
Hi Sharon,
Thanks so much for your comment and sharing your thoughts. We had lots of snow yesterday and the power went off during the night and is still off. So our heater is not working. Thank God for our fireplace, comforters and sweaters to keep us warm. I do hope the power comes on soon. Blessings to you this winter season.
Hello Latisha,
Thank you for hosting this uplifting link party. I enjoyed reading your encouraging thoughts, and look forward to gaining more inspiration in the future. :)
Hi Jane,
Thanks for your kind comments and dropping by. I really appreciate that you liked my write-up and found it encouraging. That is what I was hoping for. Blessings to you.
Beautiful poem and thank you for keeping this party going. Hope you are feeling well.
Hi Michelle,
Thank you very much. Glad you liked my poem and I’m really glad to be able to keep the party going. Hope you have blessed weekend and thank you for your continued support.
Hey Latisha,
I love the poem and the theme! I agree, holding tight to the moments of happiness, is so important. This week, my girls and I found joy at their schools Father, Daughter Dance. Rocking out with my kiddos, seeing their faces light up, and watching them have fun with their friends, is always makes me happy. Thank you for another great opportunity to share and connect in the link-up Wishing you and your family a blessed week!
Latisha, I hope all is well with you and your family. Blessings!
Latisha, congratulations! Wow, seven! I couldn’t handle more than two! My hat’s off to you…and yes, I watched the ORIGINAL shows with my kids. We all loved that show. And in answer to your question—what brings me joy? I look for joy every day, so that it is kind of like God’s mercies–new every morning. I never want my joy to become stale because joy afresh is the best kind of joy! Blessings to you, your family and your little nugget.
Latisha – thank you for always hosting such a fun party on Saturday’s! I do remember 7th heaven even though i didn’t always watch it. It’s such an exciting time for you and your family. Love the poem you shared today – thanks for continuing to host even in this busy season of you life. You are always such an encouragement. May joy abound in you today and everyday!
wishing you a safe delivery..and God’s blessings on your 7!
