Happy Saturday and blessings to you today! I hope all is well with you and your loved ones, and that you had a very blessed week.
Thanks so much to those of you who dropped by last Saturday and took my special request to heart. Thanks for your encouraging, loving comments. It really meant alot.
Have you ever read the book “The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Last” by Gary Chapman. I read it many years back. I don’t remember exactly everything I read, but I remember that it was such an insightful book I enjoyed reading very much. It gave me a better understanding in building better relationships with my loved ones.
Mr. Chapman shares about 5 distinctive ways we can speak love to our loved one. Speaking not necessarily in our own love language but theirs. These 5 love languages are Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Gifts, Acts of Service & Physical Touch. It really is a very good book to read, if you have never read it.
My love languages are Words of Affirmation, Quality Time & Gifts.
Why am I sharing this with you? Well, it all goes back to last TGI Saturdays, when I asked you to talk to me and you did with words of encouragement, support and love. When you did that, you spoke love to me. Love from outside my family circle and in the blog community. It gave me the motivation to keep pressing forward as a blogger. I want you to know that.
So feel free to talk to me again today, if you can and know you are appreciated.
What is your love language?
Blessings to you and have a spectacular week.

From Homeschool to Public School -How’s It Going So Far!
I don’t get to watch television as much as I use to, but there are two channels I highly enjoy watching and I set my DVR to, every time there is a new original movie on their schedule. I’m talking about Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Lately, These channels have been doing an awesome job in providing lots of good clean, sweet, romantic content for a woman like me to watch. Do you watch these channels or watch t.v at all for that matter?
So some great news! Hallmark Channel will be premiering a new movie or two every weekend from September 19th to Valentine’s Weekend 2016. Last week this line-up of movies started with a beautiful movie about marriage called “Lead with Your Heart” starring William Baldwin.
This weekend will be the premiere of “Love on the Air”, (tonight) Saturday, September 26th, 9p.m/8c, starring Alison Sweeney on Hallmark Channel, and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will premiere “Hello, it’s Me” on Sunday, September 27th, 9p.m/8c starring Kellie Martin.
And get ready for Hallmark’s Fall Harvest with 4 all new original premieres, starting next Saturday, October 4th.
Hope You Tune in!
Thankful For: A Day in the Life Favorites from Michelle at Grammie Time was last week’s most clicked post and my favorite as well. It was just a beautiful reminder of the little blessings that make life a joy. This post really made me smile.
Please feel free to enjoy these new free printables, as we thank God for our summer blessings and reflect on our Autumn hopes.
Hi Latisha!
I have read that book, and my love languages are Words of Affirmation and Quality Time. There’s nothing better to me than spending time with the people I care about – except maybe hearing good words from them! I notice that you and I have this in common. It’s funny, my husband often tells me that I should know good things about myself without having to hear it from others – (he’s super confident, by the way!) I try to explain that I do, but still somehow need those *outside* words for reassurance.
I can’t wait for the day when (hopefully!) the Lord will say to me, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Can you think of any better affirmation?? And any better quality time than forever with Him?!
Have a wonderful weekend!
GOD BLESS!
Hi Sharon,
I loved reading your comment. It encouraged me and made me smile. My husband says the same thing to me, go figure! He’s right, but truly I love to hear positive words of affirmation, it truly is my love language.
I love what you said about the day the Lord says “Well done, good and faithful servant.” and really can’t think of a better affirmation.
Blessings to you too!
I love Hallmark channel too! I had surgery this week, and I think the movies really helped with my recovery! Glad to know I’m not alone.
It’s nice to meet a fellow Hallmark lover. I’m glad to hear these movies helped you during your recovery period from your surgery. God bless you and thank you so much for visiting TGI Saturdays. Hope you can come again.
