Hello Friends2

Happy Saturday, and how do you do? I hope your had a good week last week filled with many blessings from God. Thank you for joining me today for the 26th TGI Saturdays Blog Hop. This blog hop is really a get together for bloggers and blog readers to think about the blessings of life and celebrate everyday moments we are given to live life positively and to the fullest.

I want my life to reflect the joy and blessings of God’s goodness (I know I  use the word blessings a lot). I want to be a healthy, happy, thriving me- (mom-woman-wife). Last week, I didn’t reflect that with my words at all. I had some stuff on my heart and I decided to share it with you. Then you lifted me with your words of encouragement and prayers.

Unfortunately, my battle is not just a simple struggle with bad day blues that we all get once in while. My battle is a long time battle I have been struggling with for many years and it has stolen many happy seasons of life. I have been fighting it and praying against it all my life. It is my thorn of the flesh. So please continue to pray for as I journey to freedom from this stronghold. If you are interested in learning more about my battles with anxiety, you can check out these links – Anxiety Struggles and Poems about anxiety and fear.

I just want to share with you however, that last Saturday, after I shared with you my feelings coming from a negative place. My family went for a long walk through our neighborhood (beautiful) and to the park , and those negative feelings subsided. There is nothing like the great outdoors to give your spirit a good boost. So I had a good day.

This week a friend of mine (a growing three year old friendship) came to visit me from the  place my family use to live and God has used her visit to remind me of why He tells us not to worry about tomorrow. This weekend was a blessed reminder of God’s glory and goodness. I will like to hold on to that reminder and let it strengthen me in my challenges ahead.

I still have a long way to go in learning to handle my emotions, but I can tell you one thing I am way better than I use to be, as I grow closer to God, I break further away from Satan’s strongholds that sole purpose is to destroy me. So once again thank you for your encouragement and prayers, and thank you for participating in this weekend blog hop. Enjoy your weekend and have a blessed week.

I Should Be Happy

Motherhood

Last week I posted two articles that referred to and described my challenges in this season. We all go through challenges in our life and I felt I needed to get my emotions off my chest. So here’s what I wrote- I Should Be Happy, Them Why Am I Not! and from the “Finding Me” Blog SeriesMy Season of Motherhood.
