Hey Friends,
How are you? Blessings to you this happy Saturday (or whatever day it is when you’re reading this). It is the 47th week of TGI Saturdays and I’m so blessed to have you visit our “Countdown to Christmas” party. Today is December 12th and we have just about 13 more days until Christmas day. How is your Christmas season going? I hope filled with smiles, laughter, fun, joy, faith, hope, generosity, thankfulness, love and everything else Christmas represents.
I’ve got a few more icebreaker questions for you this week, because I just love to hear about your Christmas. I enjoy all your answers to my questions last week. You all made me smile.
Question 1.) What is your Favorite family Christmas ornament or decoration?
Question 2.) What is your favorite thing to do at Christmastime? (e.g Baking, Listening to Christmas music, Watching Christmas movies, Shopping, Decorating, etc)
Question 3.) Other than Christmas gifts to family and friends, how do you give to others during the Christmas season? (e.g donate, help organize Church Christmas party for kids, Angel Tree, etc)
Question 4.) Did you watch the musical “The Wiz” on NBC last week, did you like it?
I did (question four). I thought is was such a fabulous production, the music, the performances, the costumes, the set, the staging, everything. The one thing I could have done without is the “poppy” dance routine. It was too sensual, the dancers looked practically naked, even though they weren’t. I also thought Dorothy’s skirt was too short. I was watching with my kids, you know. Other than that, I really liked it and want to watch it again. Anyway, did you watch?
To answer the other questions. One of my favorite things to do at Christmas is decorate the Christmas tree. Which I did get to do last weekend. Yeah! I’m always in awe at how majestic a Christmas tree can be, especially lit at night. Our Christmas tree is simply exquisite. I have nothing but good memories associated with decorating a Christmas tree. This is our first Christmas tree in our new home.
My favorite decorations are our Christmas Angels. I love Angels. They are so pretty and of God.
And to answer question 3– There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens (Ecclesiastes 3:1) At this juncture of my life, doing for others outside my family circle doesn’t seem very doable (you’ll have to know my whole story to know what I mean).
I can barely manage being for my family all that they need me to be. I feel as though, this year I’m the one who needs the help. However, I hope to be in a better place in the future, to give more of myself and to help others with needs I can fill, not just at Christmastime, but whenever that need presents itself to me. I would also very much like to teach my children to do this as well.
I wish you continued blessings and happy memories this Christmas season and all your seasons to come.
Blessings to you.
With love,

I do hope you are enjoying this season of joy Latisha. Saturday evenings is my Hallmark night. Been catching all the romantic, sappy movies. My husband likes to tease me about them. I find them refreshing after a stressful week and just a good time to sit and relax by the tree.
Latisha, I LOVE it all during Christmas! But my absolute favorite is baking. Thank you for another party!
What a pleasant surprise to come on over for the link-up and see my post featured! Thank you so much for your kinds words Latisha!
My favorite Christmas decorations are the ornaments with pictures of the kids on them. This year we bought an ornament with their Santa pic on it.
May you be blessed today. Thank you so much!

So, My favorite Christmas Decorations are some ceramic old world santa’s I painted many years ago. and my ceramic nativity which I also painted years ago.Question 2. oooh – what to pick, what to pick – so many things – but the top 3 – Our annual Christmas cookie decorating party (where I make way tooo many sugar cookies, mix way to much frosting and we have about 20-30 people over for the festivities…- which sadly we didn’t get to do this year – decorating for Christmas and finally, watching Christmas movies with all the house lights out and nothing but the glow of he Christmas lights!
Question 3.) Every year I coordinate and facilitate our church’s “A Christmas Wish Come True” We get names from local schools and the boys and girls club – then I coordinate with coffee shops in the area for them to be a pick up/drop off location and then we put on an open house for the families to come collect all the donations. Question 4.) sadly, no I forgot to set the DVR to record it
I have a clear glass ornament with one of my grandson’s photo in it that my son made for me. My favotire Christmas activities include watching Christmas movies with my husband, sipping hot chocolate, visiting with family. This year, I am helping organize Christmas party for church, and plan to visit older friends whose family are far away. My husband won’t watch much TV with me (unless it’s sports, which I usually don’t watch), so the Christmas movies are a special event for us, but I didn’t know The Wiz was on until it was too late.
I hope you are having a peaceful holiday season! I like singing Christmas hymns with the family and counting through Advent with our Advent calendar.
1.) My favorite Christmas ornaments/decorations are these cute little ornaments that my sister made last year at a Pinterest party.
2.) My favorite things to do this time of the year are spending time with my family and buying meaningful gifts for the people that I love.
3.) My church always does a lot to help families in need for Christmas, so honored to be able to help with that.
4.) I didn’t get a chance to watch “The Wiz”, and I forgot to DVR it, so I’m going to try to catch it on the 19th. But I heard that it was awesome.
Thanks so much for hosting! Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas, Love! GOD bless you! :-)
