I don’t know what happened. Were the ratings that terrible?
Anyway Better Off Ted has been eliminated after only two seasons of life. What the @$%&. This network is starting to really bug me.

… This summer is going to be HOT HOT HOT! Well, somewhat warm. And only if you like reality shows. Both ABC and NBC have unveiled their summertime schedules, and it’s looking like a good time to go on a three-month vacation.
I just got permission to play with my blog. Seriously, that was my husband’s actually words, “I’m done, you could go play with your blog now.” I am a stay-at-home mom, so I’ve been looking after the kids all day. Now that my husband has agreed to take over for a while, good luck to him, I’m going to have a little fun. So here is some entertainment news and spoilers I have picked up here and there.

The only two seasons of the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise I ever watched was The Bachelorette Season Four with Deanna and The Bachelor Season Thirteen with Jason Mesnick. I really like Jason and wanted to know who he ends up with. I also still am interested in were Deanna Pappas life takes her, as well.
I wanted Deanna to choose Jason so bad it hurt. I was very disappointed when she choose Jesse instead and I really felt that was a mistake and I was right.
Anyhew, the end of The Bachelor, Season Thirteen turned out way differently than I expected with Jason choosing Melissa Rycroft; then dumping her for Molly Malaney an hour (six weeks in non reality-t.v time) later.
Well, it was all for the best. Both Deanna and Jason turned out to be a bit more fickle than I thought, but nobody’s perfect. Melissa did get married in December to Tye Strickland who helped mend her broken heart after her very public break-up with Jason Mesnick. I am proud of the way she has moved on with her life and made a name for herself outside of that mess.
Well, guess who is getting married today? Yup, it’s Jason and Molly. How sweet! I am glad they made it to this point. I hope both couples are in it for the long haul. My prayers are with them.
Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney’s wedding will air in a two-hour ABC special, The Bachelor: Jason and Molly’s Wedding, on March 8. I’m watching. What about you?
On another note; does anybody know what Deanna Pappas is up to these days? I may not agree with every decision she made where her t.v life is concerned but I still wish her a happy ending. Everyone who isn’t evil to the core deserves a happy ending.
On another note, believe it or not Molly was actually the one girl I hoped Jason wouldn’t end up with. She just rubbed me the wrong way right in the beginning, but a man’s got to paddle his own canoe. I really to wish them, all the happiness destiny has in store.

How many of you are in to the much underrated syndicated fantasy series Legend of the Seeker? My husband and I are big fans.
I often like Epic movies like Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia; and as a pre-teen/teen I very much liked Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. As well as Jack of all Trades, starring actor Bruce Campbell, who also portrayed the “The King of Thieves” in a recurring role in the Hercules and Xena franchise.
T.V Tonight! (Wednesday)
So, what am I, Latisha, going to be watching tonight on the tube? Yeah, I know I watch too much t.v; nevertheless; Wednesday nights have proven to be the best t.v night so far this summer. There are five shows I set my DVR to record.
Wipeout (ABC)- Wipeout is a fun, athletic reality show plus the laughter minus the drama and at the end of every single episode filled with entertainment, fun commentary and lots of laughs, one very lucky and very deserving contestant gets to take home $50’000. Awesome! Love it!
I Survived a Japanese Game Show (ABC)-An also very fun; funny; athletic reality series plus the laughter and the drama; where contestants get to fly to Japan and compete in a hilariously challenging “only the Japanese could think of this” game show for a chance to win $250’000; only one competitor can win. I am routing for the underdogs of the season (Season Two) the Red Robots Team who haven’t won a single game so far and has already lost two of their teammates; the Green Tigers are A-holes/Jerks. I hope the Red Robots finally put them in their place tonight.
Tyler
Perry’s Meet the Browns (TBS)- As you all know I am an avid Tyler Perry supporter but more than that I really enjoy Meet the Browns. It’s hilarious; thanks for the most part to the main character Leroy Brown. He isn’t a badass like Madea but on the laughter meter he can certainly hold his own.
So, yo
u think you can dance (Fox)- My favorite reality dance series; I love the choreography, the variety of dance styles, the judges, the concept, the quality of the dances and the young dancers trying to make it in the biz. It’s awesome entertainment for those who love the art of dance.
The Philanthropist (NBC)- I haven’t seen it yet; the pilot episode still remains in my things to watch list; but I am positive that I’ll like this show too. We’ll see. I’ll let you know.
HAPPY VIEWING!
I love the arts in all its forms; this includes dancing; I love dance movies; dance t.v and dancing at home in front my mirror (even though I haven’t done that in so long-but I really need to).

So I finally set Fox reality dance show; “ So, you think you can dance,” to record on my DVR last week; picking up from the Top 18 dancers; I am not into all that audition stuff; I missed the first performance show; how I missed that; I don’t know; anyway….. I took mental notes for my blog; so I could share Youtube (I love Youtube) videos of my some of my favorite dances or dancers; but unfortunately this time around they weren’t really any.
So, You Think You Can Dance, Top 18 Reviews

Sonja Tayeh Awesome Jazz Routine
However; of course, some dances did stand out more than others; for instance; I thought Asuka (Kondoh) and Vitolio (Jeune)’s Waltz was really beautiful and emotionally caressing and the absolutely riveting Enya music playing in the background, certainly did not hurt the routine either; it was sweet how that dance moved judge Mary Murphy to tears. Karla (Garcia) and Jonathan (Platero)’s dance choreographed by Canadian choreographer Stacy Tookey was also very pretty.

Sonja Tayeh
Melissa and Ade’s Sonja Tayeh (a real unique individual) Jazz routine was a real attention-grabbing physically challenged routine; it rocked and it made me desire to get up and dance; according to Judge and Choreographer Lil’C, “That was bucc.”
Brandon and Janette’s Disco was really fast paste and I thought it was a cool routine; don’t cha yah wish you could dance like that, don’t cha? I do, I do; maybe someday.
I thought Shane Sparks’ choreography ideas were cool and would have been highly recieved if the dancers were able to really pull them off; however; I didn’t think Ashley; who partnered with Kupono; wasn’t bad at all, maybe as a routine and as a team they didn’t work; but I thought she really shake those Hips and I was disappointed she got sent home so soon; I wanted to see more of her, I also think she is really pretty (looks a little like Rachel Leigh Cook to me); too bad. Maybe somebody will leave the show and they’ll bring her back for a second try; I think it was her solo routine (lack of content) that did her in; and somehow; I knew Max would have been the one (male) to go; he was not only competing against dancing skills but personalities as well. His personality did not have a powerful presence to me; i just don’t think he stood a chance.
Asuka and Vitolio Waltz-Choreographed by Louis Van Amstel

Fame (the original)
In preparation for the big screen premiere of “Fame” remake, September 25th; I decided to watch the original; yes, that would be my first time seeing it. I assumed Debbie Allen had a bigger role in this film; nevertheless this movie was very entertaining, at times funny, at times sweet but it really felt incomplete to me in the end; after following a synopsis of the main character’s lives over a four-year span during their time at this Liberal Arts school in New York; I expected a close to their stories; a glimpse of their futures after graduation; this ending felt unfinished and unsatisfactory; even the graduation scene did not appease me for my time; not a single story had an ending; no questions answered; no resolutions; nothing but an incomplete story. I hope the remake does a better job of giving us something take with us; other than an awesome soundtrack and temporary entertainment of dance, music and song.
Footloose Remake
In other dancing news; Dancing with the Stars Pro Julianne Hough was offered the lead in another upcoming musical/dance remake “Footloose,” set to come out in 2010, alongside Chase Crawford (a role that was originally offered to High School Musical star Zac Efron); after (so I heard) auditioning against more experienced actresses like Hayden Panetierre and Amanda Bynes. You, go, girl. When I initially heard who was auditioning for the part and I really hoped Julianne would be the one to get it, I think she’ll be great in the part, she is brand spanking new in that part of the Biz, which is always exciting; she is a great dancer and singer, she is beautiful; this will be totally awesome for her career and I am looking forward to seeing this film in 2010,; if God spares my life.
Dancing with Stars- Season Eight- Top Three
Speaking of Dancing with the Stars; here are some updates of what’s next on the agenda for Season Eight contenders and pro-dancers.
Apparently; 17-year-old Gymnast Shawn Johnson; Season Eight Champion is mulling over taking the lead role in a kid’s flick; that’s all I know; oh and the Disco Ball Trophy is or was in the repair shop; apparently it got broken during a shipment from New York.
First runner-up and hot French actor from the “Sex and the City” movie Gilles Marini gets naughty on t.v series Nip/Tuck as somebody’s (Erica) sexy younger bad-boy husband.
Second runner-up Melissa Rycroft is apparently joining the cast of “Good Morning, America;” serving as a special contributor (for now) delivering uplifting, summer-type pieces (tvguide.com). Somebody (God) must be really looking out for this girl and her future. She may have stumbled on an accidental career, unlike Deanna Pappas, who in my opinion wants it bad. I am happy for her and very proud. Go, Melissa, go; I am looking forward to seeing you on GMA and I promise I’ll watch.

In other news (not that I care); Pro-Dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy a.k.a “the bad boy of ballroom” will be one of the celebrities on new reality series “The Superstars.” Speaking of Maksim; he and his fiancé Karina Smirnoff (who have been dating for about a year) have landed their own reality series; another one of those “come watch my dramatic life as I prepare for my wedding and advance my career” reality shows; so how long do you think this marriage is going to last? (in my opinion, not long at all) Anyway, I am really not a fan of either dancers, so I probably won’t watch. Will you?
Phew; I have finally finished this post for now, thought the end would never come. It took half my day but I’m finally done, please don’t make this post be in vain, if you read this, drop me a line, it’ll make my day and I would appreciate it very much. Talk to you soon. Get up and dance.

Holla! TishTishBaby!
Some info gathered from www.buddytv.com .

Since its debut on Abc Family; summer 2008; I have loved this show; I think it tries to kind of send a message and teach valuable lessons in the midst of its real life circumstances and teenage characters at least in Season One; I would confidently let my teenage daughter (if I had one) watch this show and then sit and have a heartfelt conversation with her; discussing many of life’s issues; most importantly; sex and the choices we make at that tender teen age.
My relationship with “The Secret Life,” hasn’t been perfect, I have been disappointed by some of the paths, the writers has chosen to take; like when the character Alice had sex with her boyfriend Henry, so easily, after a couple of episodes earlier sounding so assured that she wasn’t going to have sex with him anytime soon. I could be wrong, but I really thought based on the things she said and how self-assured she sounded that she was waiting until marriage or at least a more special occasion. It felt like a last minute switch to me; like Brenda Hampton; changed her mind about this character just the night before; I hated the new Alice. I still do.
If you don’t want to know what’s up; if you want to be surprised when Season Two premieres on Monday, 22nd June; STOP READING NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE SPOILERS; I don’t mind them at all; I like to know what to expect to give me time to mentally prepare. I get so emotionally wrapped into some of these t.v shows, that’s why I am sometimes heartbroken, when shows I really liked are canceled and that happens often.
Anyway, from bits and pieces I have gathered here or there; sneak peeks, etc. The character Anne (Amy’s mom) is pregnant, by whom, I don’t know. This one pisses me off; the teenage christian Grace and last virgin standing (main characters) will join the ranks of her friends/acquaintances and give away her precious jewel to boyfriend Jack; that really sucks. Where is Brenda (Hampton) taking us and are there lessons to be learnt; teenagers and their parents/guardians to be reached or have we crossed over to join the likes of other teenybopper programming like Gossip Girl, 90210, etc. Where it is all about the sex and scandals; designed strictly for entertainment, guilty pleasures and the show’s survival in this tough, tough t.v world. I hope not, I really think she had something and the practically unreachable could finally be reached; teenagers.
Here is another scary spoiler for you; I think Grace’s father is going to die; what is it with John Schneider and these types of roles; playing the dying pappa again (Smallville) and he is never an abusive, mean, angry Dad, you just hate and wish for his demise, he is always one of the good ones, gone to soon; that is going to set an atmosphere of sadness and mourning for a while; bummer.
So why do I think he is going to die, here it is; I was looking through my DVR recording schedule at some of my upcoming recordings and reading the previews; the preview for “The Secret Life,” Episode Two, Season Two, entitled “What’s Done is Done;” reads; “Grace believes her actions are responsible for her father’s death.” Whoa.
So let’s watch and see where this unfolding t.v journey takes us; will we get to see John (Amy’s son) grow up; as well as the growth of these teenage characters into adulthood; will we see them go to college and establish careers; personality changes and graduations, even weddings; will it be another hit like 7th Heaven; will this show last even half as long and if it does; will all or many of these original characters journey with it; and one more question; who will pass in and out of this show; so far; we’ve had Lil’ JJ (Just Jordan), Bianca Lawson, Constance Marie (George Lopez); as well as; Gymnast, Olympic Gold Medalist and Dancing with the Stars, Season Eight Champion; Shawn Johnson.
Speaking of Gymnastics; also premiering June 22nd on ABC Family is a new show about the world of Gymnastics; “Make it or Break it” hope it’s good, it gives a feel a lot like the movie “Stick It,” I liked that movie; I hope this new tv series will be a good one. See you Monday. Oh and have a great weekend. Luv Yah.
TishTishBaby.
This Summer, t.v looks like its going to be a lot of fun, who needs to go out, but if I do, which I most likely will, that’s what TiVo’s for, my most favorite invention in the whole wide world. What can I say, I loooooooovvvvvve American t.v.
So far, we had the premiere of Wipeout (ABC) and Meet the Browns (TBS); and the season finales (House of Payne’s was last night).
Wipeout is always a lot of fun to watch, no drama, just light and funny, which sets the atmosphere perfectly for summer. The perfect mate for Wipeout, which basically premiered hand-in-hand, last summer, “I Survived a Japanese Game Show,” will premiere July 8th, some drama, but still very funny. Other fun looking ABC shows are “Here comes the Newlyweds,” which have already premiered but I haven’t seen it yet, I’ll check it out, it looks cool. “Surviving Suburbia” is a funny sitcom, I don’t know why they canceled it so quickly, anyway they are showing the rest of the first and last season this summer, as well as the final episodes of season two/final seasons of “Pushing Daisies” and “Eli Stone,” great shows that never had a chance or were never given one. I wish there was a t.v station were great canceled shows could go for second chances.
Summer on ABC
NBC has some really interesting and unique shows, right up my ally scheduled this summer. Premiering tonight is “The Listener,” about a young paramedic who can hear other people’s thoughts (awesome gift to have, but probably a lot of responsibility too), premiering June 21st is Merlin (“an exciting fantasy series set in the mythic city of Camelot, but inspired by 21st Century storytelling.” nbc.com), “The Philanthropist” premieres June 24th about a “billionaire playboy-turned-vigilante philanthropist” (nbc.com) and another NBC summer show that caught my interest is “The Great American Road trip” premiering July 1st about “seven families of four from a variety of backgrounds have been selected to take the journey of a lifetime. Over eight episodes, the families travel classic Route 66 through cities large and small, all while competing in a medley of humorous games that will ultimately lead one family to victory.” (nbc.com).
Summer on NBC
This summer ABC Family looks awesome, lots of great stuff for the teenybopper and me demographic, starting with the premieres of Season Two of one of my favorites “The Secret Life of an American Teenager,” as well as, a show about the world of gymnastics, probably similar to the movie “Stick it,” called “Make it or Break it,” June 22nd, can’t wait. Then on July 7th, the premiere of the television series based on the movie with same title “10 Things I hate about you,” on July 21st, a sitcom featuring Alexa Vega (I love her) of Spy Kids fame “Ruby & the Rockits.” Check out sneak peeks on abcfamily.com.
I am also awaiting Leverage (TNT-July 15th), Monk, Psych and whatever else summer throws my way; t.v, cinema, theater or otherwise. I wish you great t.v viewing and outdoor fun (Tivo/DVR-what you miss when you’re out) this summer.
P.S- I might give Hawthorne (TNT- June 16th) a shot, I’m not really into doctor shows but I do love me some Jada, so we’ll see. Talk more t.v soon.
I am sorry; I haven’t blogged in a long time. Are you mad? I have an excuse. I have been nauseous and tired for the last three months. Walking from my living room to the bathroom has been a chore. So sitting at the computer, trying to think of something to write; just wasn’t going to happen.
On the bright side; I went for my first ultrasound yesterday; it was the clearest picture I have ever seen of an ultrasound. The last one I had was in the Caribbean and of course the technology here is more advance. Read the rest of this entry »
