It’s Spring!
Well, even though it hasn’t fully started to feel like Spring where I live. I know its coming, a new beautiful awakening is coming. Change is coming to my life and beauty is coming all around. We’ll see God’s creatures flittering and running around, beautiful colors everywhere, flowers blossoming. I’m excited. So let me share a poem I wrote about Spring. I haven’t had much practice with nature poems, but I think its alright. Read the rest of this entry »
I wanna
I Wanna
I wanna sing High above the mountaintops
I wanna dance All day long, don’t ever stop
I wanna run Till I reach the sun
I wanna keep dreaming I wanna have fun
I wanna inspire I wanna touch souls
I wanna grow closer to God I wanna know Jesus His message unfold
I wanna love and be loved Love God, myself, others, this world Be transformed into a woman No longer a girl
I wanna be a blessing I wanna give I wanna reach high Touch the sky I wanna live
Lord, help me to be The woman you designed me to be

Toxic
Toxic
Toxic voices in my head Burning its way through my soul Until it’s dead
Poisonous words I hear them say Stealing my joy from day to day
I wish there was someway To get them out I can hear them scream I can hear them shout
“You suck” “You’re no good” “You have no worth” Those liars fill me up with a mental curse
I wish I’d never let them in These toxic voices roaming within Within my mind Within my soul To my demise they will play a vital role

Christmas Poems by me
The Spirit of Christmas
The spirit of Christmas
Can’t be bought from a store
Christmas spirit means so much more
It’s not found in the decorations or under the tree
The spirit of Christmas lives in the heart of you and me
Its love, kindness, generosity
Forgiveness, joy, quality time with friends and family
Its thankfulness and great appreciation
For what we have and good relations
The spirit of Christmas can’t be bought from a store
The Christmas spirit is a message to us from our heavenly Father
It means a whole lot more
The spirit of the season
Not only this season but every season
Already lives in the hearts of you and me
So let it out, set it free, and carry the spirit of Christmas
The love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ with you dayly
My Christmas Prayer
My Christmas prayer
For you is simply this
A life filled with God’s blessings
This is my Christmas wish
Happiness, Joy, Friendship, love
Modern day miracles right here on earth
Guidance, protection and grace from the Lord above
Great success in whatever you do
Prosperity, financial blessings, the best
I pray for you
May you have a Merry Christmas
The best you’ve ever had
Ring in the New Year
With an open heart
Welcome all good things
Dance and sing, praise, rejoice
Glory to God
For all the wonders this life brings
Merry Christmas
My thoughts on California Proposition 8 (2008)
What is Proposition 8?
Wikipedia Definition:
Proposition 8 is a California State ballot proposition that would amend the state Constitution to restrict the definition of marriage to a union between a man and a woman. It would overturn a recent California Supreme Court decision that had recognized same-sex marriage in California as a fundamental right. The official ballot title language for Proposition 8 is “Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry.” The entirety of the text to be added to the constitution is: “Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.”
The campaigns for and against Proposition 8 raised $35.8 million and $37.6 million, respectively, becoming the highest-funded campaign on any state ballot that day and surpassing every campaign in the country in spending except the presidential contest. The proponents argued for exclusively heterosexual marriage while claiming that failure to change the constitution would require changes to school curriculum and threaten church tax benefits. The opponents argued that eliminating the rights of any Californian and mandating that one group of people be treated differently from everyone else was unfair and wrong.
The Last Day of Summer 2008
Yesterday was officially the final day of summer for 2008. I couldn’t ask for a better ending; this had to be one of the best days I have had in a very long time and not necessarily because of the grandeur of what I did or who I was with; so much as it was because a heavy weight has been lifted and it’s up to me to keep it off. Words of a Poetriot by L.J.G.B
This is a book filled with poems I wrote all through the different phases of my teenage life. As an adolescent; from the time I realized I had a knack for poetic expression I dreamt of publishing my own poetry book and sharing my thoughts and words with the world. I still dream of the day when someone would read something I wrote and say to me; those words encouraged, motivated, inspired me or that they did not know that someone else was experiencing what they were. Initially my dream was to be a fashion designer but when I realized I hate Clothing and Textiles and I am not so bad at the written word, my dream changed. Read the rest of this entry »
