Well; today is October 14th; seven days subsequent to my last post. How are you all today?

I don’t have anything specific to talk about; just all these random thoughts etcetera that have passed through my mind since we spoke last.

Today is my brother’s birthday. He’ll be twenty-two today and he is probably at work in Barbados (Caribbean island) right now. So I’ll call him later, see how he is doing. Remind him that I love him.

I got to tell you; back in the day; I can’t believe I am old enough to say that, sigh; anyway, back in the day; I really was anxious about getting older; finishing school; earning my own income; getting married; having children; being a successful whatever I become; now I just want to go back there; slap that girl in her face and say slow down; take it a step at a time; live your life. Be a TEEN. Now I am no longer a teen; I am a woman but my mind is yet to catch up with my no longer skinny adolescent body. I still feel like a teen but I have responsibilities like a mother, wife and a woman. I have to grow up or at the very least find a middle ground. I have to embrace who I am now and work towards being the chick I want to be. Anyway, this post wasn’t really meant to talk about all that per say but I wanted to talk about the young people/celebs I really am a very big fan of out there; their music, their talents, their looks and the way they represent youth and that generation.

I love this commercial. It makes me happy, the music makes me want to get up and dance everytime, plus the tall dancer reminds me of my sister Joleil. She just graduated Secondary School back in Barbados, now she is off to college in Trinidad and Tobago, i’m so proud.

Here are three of my favorite videos of all time. I think the songs are hot and the women who sing them are even hotter. It should be a crime to be that sexy. I’d say I wish I was sexy like that but I really don’t. I desire to be my own kind of sexy and I think the greatest sex appeal a woman could have is love and respect for themselves as well as confidence. It’s okay, to appreciate other’s sex appeal but don’t want to be sexy like them; be your own kind of sexy. Be yourself.

This is a song that speaks to my own heart; I can completely relate to “These Words” because as a young writer I am often trying to write a poem, a book, an article, an anything that would stand the test of time. I dream of writing extraordinary and legendary words that millions would know and love but I feel as though the bar is set too high.
