Good vs Evil
Anger is the Word of the Day
Off the bat, I’ll admit that I knew I was wrong, but that didn’t stop me from being angry. Read the rest of this entry »
Life
I’m not referring to the new show that premiered on various channels like Discovery, Animal Planet, TLC and others recently, a mini-series about life on this beautiful and amazing planet, aptly named “Life.” Neither, am I talking about canceled NBC t.v series (which I very much liked) also called “Life,” about a reinstated police detective who was previously serving a life sentence in prison.
How the Devil Knows my Weakness
I made a mistake a long time ago and let the devil know my weakness. Now I walk around everyday with him whispering my can’ts, what-ifs, and I’m nots to me all day. Read the rest of this entry »
The Body of Christ
I was having a conversation via Skype with my mom a few nights ago. She seemed so sad and discouraged; and rightly so, I guess. She is going through a lot in her life right now and unfortunately her faith that it’ll all turn out okay is not as strong as it should be.
Keeping the faith in these difficult times in our lives is not as easy to do as it is to say. Yes, we believe in God and that his son died to save us. However, as human beings it is in our nature to desire the warmth of human touch, the love of friendship and the security that you are loved and appreciated wholly by your peers, and that they care about your well-being. Video Review-a Christian Perspective- Lady Gaga featuring Beyonce-Telephone Music Video

Celebrity Role Models
Celebrities are everywhere, in print-media; tv; radio; mobile-phones; internet and whatever other forms of mass communication devices that exist, that I may not know about.
I too, find myself interested and sometimes fascinating by the latest in entertainment news; not that interested in celebrity gossip though, especially the kind that highlights their bad behavior.
I empathize with celebrities; yes they are very rich and spoilt. However, that life can’t be an easy one, especially for those who started in this industry very young. Growing up in front of the camera, paparazzi following you everywhere you go; digging into your daily lives, dissecting your every move. What are you wearing, where are you going, what are you eating, who are you dating, how much you weigh, etc. Read the rest of this entry »
Before Creation
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight”
(Ephesians 1:4, NIV)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria Did you know God had a plan for you before the foundations of the earth? He created you to be holy and blameless in His sight. Why? He chose you to be His ambassador, His representative on the earth. God created you to reflect His glory. He created you to reflect His character, His righteousness, His holiness. Think about that for a moment. Part of your purpose on this earth is to be a representative for the King of kings and the Lord of lords. That should make you want to walk a little differently. It should make you want to talk differently. It should make you think a little more carefully about the places you go and the things you do.
Fear and Parenting can’t be friends
Fear is a powerful emotion, one that could kill us figuratively and literally. It is the biggest weapon Satan can form against us to destroy lives; our own and the lives of others.
I was already growing into an extremely fearful person, now as a parent and a wife my fear has drastically increased. Now I’m not only afraid of the bad things that can happen to me but to my husband and children as well; and believe me, I can imagine 1’000 or more ways bad things that could hurt them and then me. Legend of the Seeker

How many of you are in to the much underrated syndicated fantasy series Legend of the Seeker? My husband and I are big fans.
I often like Epic movies like Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia; and as a pre-teen/teen I very much liked Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. As well as Jack of all Trades, starring actor Bruce Campbell, who also portrayed the “The King of Thieves” in a recurring role in the Hercules and Xena franchise.
Beverly Hills disowns Miss California contestant
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Less than a year after dethroned Miss California USA Carrie Prejean stirred up controversy with her remarks against gay marriage, a similar war of words is brewing in Beverly Hills.
Beverly Hills Mayor Nancy Krasne said Wednesday she is outraged over a Miss California USA contestant who is claiming to represent the city in the upcoming pageant and who spoke out against same-sex marriage in recent media interviews.
Krasne said in a statement that 23-year-old Lauren Ashley does not live in Beverly Hills or represent the city in any capacity. Krasne said she was shocked to see statements made by a beauty pageant contestant under the name of Beverly Hills, “which has a long history of tolerance and respect.”
Ashley recently told Fox News and other media outlets that same-sex marriage goes against God and the Bible.
Keith Lewis, a K2 Productions stage director for the Miss California USA pageant, told the Los Angeles Times that contestants choose the area they represent and Ashley chose to compete as Miss Beverly Hills in November 2010.
A phone listing for Ashley could not be found.
Krasne said the city has contacted Miss California USA pageant officials to determine ways to formally prevent any beauty contestants from claiming the title of Miss Beverly Hills in the future.
Ashley’s comments came just months after Prejean, the former Miss California USA 2009, reached a confidential settlement with pageant organizers on dueling lawsuits over her outspoken stance against gay marriage.
Prejean sued Miss California USA organizers in August for libel, slander and religious discrimination. She accused them of telling her to stop mentioning God even before her controversial remarks against gay marriage.
Prejean was fired in June after pageant officials accused her of missing events, an allegation she denied. The pageant later countersued Prejean.
Prejean said she was dethroned because she said during the Miss USA pageant that gays shouldn’t be allowed to marry.
