Celebrities are everywhere, in print-media; tv; radio; mobile-phones; internet and whatever other forms of mass communication devices that exist, that I may not know about.
I too, find myself interested and sometimes fascinating by the latest in entertainment news; not that interested in celebrity gossip though, especially the kind that highlights their bad behavior.
I empathize with celebrities; yes they are very rich and spoilt. However, that life can’t be an easy one, especially for those who started in this industry very young. Growing up in front of the camera, paparazzi following you everywhere you go; digging into your daily lives, dissecting your every move. What are you wearing, where are you going, what are you eating, who are you dating, how much you weigh, etc.

Sandra Bullock wins an Oscar for “The Blind Side” and a Razzie for “All About Steve” in the same week. She is an incredibly funny and versatile actress. She seems to be a very sweet, humble and loving woman. I love to watch her grace and humor on screen. I am a big fan of her work and I’m very happy for both wins. Hey, publicity (for your work) is publicity.

Sandra Bullock Shows Up to Claim ‘Worst Actress’ Razzie Award
posted by Lindsay Robertson – Sat Mar 6 2010, 11:32 PM PST
When Sandra Bullock found out she was nominated for a Worst Actress award in this year’s Golden Raspberry contest for her work in the summer oddball comedy “All About Steve,” she promised to attend the ceremony and claim her prize if she won.
Despite the Oscar nominee’s very busy weekend, Bullock followed through on her vow, showing up at the ceremony in Los Angeles carting a wagon full of “All About Steve” DVDs and a refreshing sense of humor for a movie star.
But Bullock — who is a major Best Actress contender for her role in “The Blind Side” — wasn’t just there to poke fun at herself. The actress, who also co-produced “All About Steve,” was there to defend her film. Despite bad reviews, it actually made a profit at the box office.

Fear is a powerful emotion, one that could kill us figuratively and literally. It is the biggest weapon Satan can form against us to destroy lives; our own and the lives of others.
I was already growing into an extremely fearful person, now as a parent and a wife my fear has drastically increased. Now I’m not only afraid of the bad things that can happen to me but to my husband and children as well; and believe me, I can imagine 1’000 or more ways bad things that could hurt them and then me.

The only two seasons of the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise I ever watched was The Bachelorette Season Four with Deanna and The Bachelor Season Thirteen with Jason Mesnick. I really like Jason and wanted to know who he ends up with. I also still am interested in were Deanna Pappas life takes her, as well.
I wanted Deanna to choose Jason so bad it hurt. I was very disappointed when she choose Jesse instead and I really felt that was a mistake and I was right.
Anyhew, the end of The Bachelor, Season Thirteen turned out way differently than I expected with Jason choosing Melissa Rycroft; then dumping her for Molly Malaney an hour (six weeks in non reality-t.v time) later.
Well, it was all for the best. Both Deanna and Jason turned out to be a bit more fickle than I thought, but nobody’s perfect. Melissa did get married in December to Tye Strickland who helped mend her broken heart after her very public break-up with Jason Mesnick. I am proud of the way she has moved on with her life and made a name for herself outside of that mess.
Well, guess who is getting married today? Yup, it’s Jason and Molly. How sweet! I am glad they made it to this point. I hope both couples are in it for the long haul. My prayers are with them.
Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney’s wedding will air in a two-hour ABC special, The Bachelor: Jason and Molly’s Wedding, on March 8. I’m watching. What about you?
On another note; does anybody know what Deanna Pappas is up to these days? I may not agree with every decision she made where her t.v life is concerned but I still wish her a happy ending. Everyone who isn’t evil to the core deserves a happy ending.
On another note, believe it or not Molly was actually the one girl I hoped Jason wouldn’t end up with. She just rubbed me the wrong way right in the beginning, but a man’s got to paddle his own canoe. I really to wish them, all the happiness destiny has in store.

How many of you are in to the much underrated syndicated fantasy series Legend of the Seeker? My husband and I are big fans.
I often like Epic movies like Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia; and as a pre-teen/teen I very much liked Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. As well as Jack of all Trades, starring actor Bruce Campbell, who also portrayed the “The King of Thieves” in a recurring role in the Hercules and Xena franchise.
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Less than a year after dethroned Miss California USA Carrie Prejean stirred up controversy with her remarks against gay marriage, a similar war of words is brewing in Beverly Hills.
Beverly Hills Mayor Nancy Krasne said Wednesday she is outraged over a Miss California USA contestant who is claiming to represent the city in the upcoming pageant and who spoke out against same-sex marriage in recent media interviews.
Krasne said in a statement that 23-year-old Lauren Ashley does not live in Beverly Hills or represent the city in any capacity. Krasne said she was shocked to see statements made by a beauty pageant contestant under the name of Beverly Hills, “which has a long history of tolerance and respect.”
Ashley recently told Fox News and other media outlets that same-sex marriage goes against God and the Bible.
Keith Lewis, a K2 Productions stage director for the Miss California USA pageant, told the Los Angeles Times that contestants choose the area they represent and Ashley chose to compete as Miss Beverly Hills in November 2010.
A phone listing for Ashley could not be found.
Krasne said the city has contacted Miss California USA pageant officials to determine ways to formally prevent any beauty contestants from claiming the title of Miss Beverly Hills in the future.
Ashley’s comments came just months after Prejean, the former Miss California USA 2009, reached a confidential settlement with pageant organizers on dueling lawsuits over her outspoken stance against gay marriage.
Prejean sued Miss California USA organizers in August for libel, slander and religious discrimination. She accused them of telling her to stop mentioning God even before her controversial remarks against gay marriage.
Prejean was fired in June after pageant officials accused her of missing events, an allegation she denied. The pageant later countersued Prejean.
Prejean said she was dethroned because she said during the Miss USA pageant that gays shouldn’t be allowed to marry.
There were Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker; Mel Gibson and Danny Glover; Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks; Julia Roberts and Richard Gere; Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson. Some couples just go really well together on screen. Read the rest of this entry »
