It’s a rainy day here today!!! How are you? I’m just fine. Just came from a doctor’s (OBGYN) appointment a couple of hours ago. Had a lot of things I wanted to do at the Health Center today and I am happy to say I did them all. Yeah!

            I saw my OBGYN; I got a prescription refill for prenatal vitamins; I signed up for a program which is very helpful to people like me (pregnant woman or a parent of a child under five with low incomes) that covers the cost of some nutritious and healthy foods like eggs, milk, cereal, etc; I made an appointment with a family doctor and a dentist; and I even assisted a woman in getting her prescriptions, simply by giving her $1.00.  I feel very proud of myself; and you are wondering why this is such a big deal to me; it’s because in situations like these I am very shy and reserved but nevertheless, I acted like a grown-up and did what I had to do for myself.
