August is and always has been my second most favorite month of the year; December being my first. This August is extra-busy and extra-special; because my mother and two sisters have come to visit me from the Caribbean. They are here until the 29th of this month.

So far for the month of August; I took my family Downtown and had a serious day of shopping and cooling down in the park; that was August 1st. Then August 2nd; we all went to our (my husband and I) Church; then later my husband and I returned to Church to help complete last minute decorating for Vacation Bible School; which didn’t turn out so bad.

Yesterday; August 3rd was the first night of VBS; and it turned out okay but I was exhausted being that I did not receive any rest or relaxation during the day (our camp goes from 6:00 p.m-8:30 p.m for this whole week, Mon-Fri) due to that fact that I met with the Craft Director (I am assistant Craft Director) from about 11:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m discussing the crafts planned for all the different age groups this week.

So this month; as it continues to unfold; consist of shopping; showing my family around, family time; Vacation Bible School (3rd-7th); our final youth meeting until September (8th); a trip to a theme park (15th); my baby shower (22nd); my daughter’s 3rd birthday (24th); my 27th Birthday (28th); Carnival (29th) and my family’s return home-boo, hoo (29th).

Coming to DVD this month are; “17 Again”; “I Love you, Man”; “Duplicity”; “State of Play”; “Adventureland”; “The Soloist”; “Obsessed”; “Race to Witch Mountain”; “Sunshine Cleaning”; “The Last House on the Left”; “Fighting”; “CHE”; “The Hannah Montana movie”; “Delgo” and more.

Coming to Theaters; that I would be remotely interested in seeing are; opening this weekend –“G.I Joe”; August 14th- “Bandslam” and “The Time Traveler’s Wife”; August 21st- “Post Grad” and “Shorts.” This month doesn’t really appeal to me theater-wise.

This month’s T.V premieres (that I care to see) are Monk (the final season) and Psych (3rd Season)-August 8th and the Wizards of Waverly Place Movie- August 28th.
