I must be crazy; but I really, really love this song:
Crazy lyrics
Songwriters: Burton, Brian Joseph; Callaway, Thomas Decarlo; Reverberi, Gian Piero; Reverberi, Gianfranco;
I remember when, I remember
I remember when I lost my mind
There was something so pleasant about that place
Even your emotions have an echo in so much space
And when you’re out there without care
Yeah, I was out of touch
But it wasn’t because I didn’t know enough
I just knew too much
Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Does that make me crazy?
Possibly
And I hope that you are
Having the time of your life
But think twice
That’s my only advice
Come on now, who do you
Who do you, who do you, who do you think you are?
Ha ha ha, bless your soul
You really think you’re in control?
Well, I think you’re crazy
I think you’re crazy
I think you’re crazy
Just like me
My heroes had the heart
To lose their lives out on a limb
And all I remember
Is thinking, I want to be like them
Ever since I was little
Ever since I was little
It looked like fun
And it’s no coincidence I’ve come
And I can die when I’m done
But maybe I’m crazy
Maybe you’re crazy
Maybe we’re crazy
Probably

Keri Hilson covers Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy- I don’t think she did a bad job at all- I think it was a solid performance.

Hi, Good Morning ya’ll, how are you doing today?
Well me, I am just fine. This year has started out a little rough and challenging; especially in three areas; finances; miscarriages and first trimester blues; but even though things are still a bit challenging now; I see my life turning around like I knew it would and it feels wonderful.
My mother and little sister Tatyanna (10 yrs old) arrived here safely, Sunday at about minutes to 2 a.m; July 26th, now we have a full apartment; I can’t tell you how much I am glad to see them; how grateful I am they are here and I want them to have the best experience of their lives; well until another best experience of their lives come along. So far so good; she (my mom) has only been here two days and those days already have felt so full and rewarding.
In the last two weeks; things have really began to turn around for us financially; I mean we still have a lot of catching up to do but jobs are coming; God is providing; our fridge and cupboards are full; in the last two weeks; I have received physical and spiritual blessings that I that I have been praying for, for so long; I am eternally grateful to my Heavenly Daddy; it really makes me want to fight to improve myself, strengthen and improve my attitude, especially during the tough times, so much more. I want to be the woman he designed me to be; I want to bless and praise God for blessing me; not only with the physical items; but with the wonderful, loving, kind hearted people in my life; awesome siblings; the greatest husband a woman can ask for; the most beautiful and sweetest mother a girl can be blessed with; the smartest, prettiest, most athletic, confident, talented daughter in the world; a wonderfully active baby boy in my tummy, who is staying healthy for mommy, a loving Church-family and so, so much more. Thank you God; Thank you, Jesus.
From conversations I have been having with my mother lately; about my life and even things she can see for herself without me pointing it out; I realize how favored my life is and always have been; despite; financial and anxiety troubles. Did you know that I have hardly had to buy a single thing for my baby girl since I have moved to America? Do you know I have free medical care and my daughter will receive free schooling in September? Did you know I have hardly shop for my own food for the last two years; and believe it or not I have sort of complained about that. Did you know that my God (hopefully your God too) is an awesome God? I certainly do.
I often wonder why God has found favor on my life; is it because of my kindness and generosity towards others; is it because of the tithes we have paid whenever we received a payment of some sort; is it my prays, the prays of others or my mother’s prays over my life for all my life (like I am doing for Kytara and Kenei now); is it our service to our church; is it God’s grace or is it because we accepted him as Lord and Savior; I think it is all those things and maybe so much more. I know one thing; it’s not just because I am good looking (smile). Once again; thank you; God Almighty.
Today is my dad’s 52nd birthday (another blessing) and tomorrow is my sister Arriel’s 16th birthday (another blessing). I hope I can in some way make both those birthdays special; for my dad; a phone call and my sister, so much more.
Please pray; my family and I have a great summer; we handle the heat well; we receive all or many of the desires of our hearts; happy birthdays; enjoyable and successful Vacation Bible School, final youth meeting until September (Friday, July 31st), trip to a theme park (Aug 15th) with the Church, baby shower and more. Share with me your prayer request and I’ll pray for you too.
Love Latisha

Just dropping you a line; because I love you; those who take the time to read my post; I love writing post and hope to make this a very successful blog in the future; with the help of my wonderful husband who comes up with new ways all the time to make this site cooler and better.
So guess what I did last Saturday? Nope; that’s not it. Yes; I finally got to visit my first theme park in America. I went to Six Flags with my youth group and family; and this adventure has help me to reaffirm two things; I hate being out in hot blazing sun (yup, it was scorching hot and we had no sun block) and I am really, really afraid of heights. That said; I still had a good time though.
I didn’t go on many rides; being pregnant was a great excuse; but the truth is even if I wasn’t pregnant it would have probably gone down almost the same way; I went on a Carousel with my daughter, husband and sister; I sat in a chair (which was really cool); my husband stood next to my daughter and held her while she sat on a horse and my sister sat on a horse.
I also went on what is suppose to be a mild ride; but for me was very scary; it was called “New England Skyway;” my husband, daughter and I got into this cable car and very slowly glided high above a very small part of the park; I had my eyes closed 98 % of the time. The thing is; I could’ve gotten out it; because pregnant women aren’t really suppose to go on this very mild, non-threatening ride but after waiting so long in the scorching hot sun just to get to the top of the line; then to find out I can’t go on; I don’t think so; I rather face a fear than face that sun again. So I did and I survived. Next challenge!
That was the last of the rides for me; my sister got to go on three exciting (for her) rides; she went on rides called “Blizzard River;” “Pandemonium,” and “Tomahawk;” my husband, daughter and I found a nice cool water fountain in the “Looney Toon Movie Town” section of the park; which had rides catering to children my daughter’s age and height; she kept cool at the water fountain for about an hour and I kept cool sitting in a shaded area watching her have fun; it made me very happy that she was happy.
Then after she dried up and got dress; she went on a ride located next to restaurant; called “Marvin the Martian’s Earthbound Journey.” While I gagged at the first taste of the “Jumbo” hot dog I ordered (I hated the theme park food I came into contact with); she alone got into what looked like a small spacecraft that took her about a few feet over the ground; and she got to fly around in a circle for a while; she wasn’t a chicken like her mother (thankfully); she loved it and went on for a second time before we headed out of the park; my sister very easily won two stuffed animals before leaving; she kept one as a souvenir of her adventure and gave one to my daughter. It was a hot and exhausting great day. I am thankful for the experience and hope to do it again next summer; less pregnant.
The next day; I went to church tanned; and participated in an insulation of Church officers ceremony; imagine that; I am a church officer. I am very proud.
This week has been a combination of preparing for my mom’s visit; shopping (for mostly necessities); meetings; doctor’s appointments and preparing for youth group (we have a meeting this evening). Didn’t get to or feel to watch very much t.v this week; comes with the grown-up territory. These things passed the time nicely; leading up to when my mom and other little sister Tatyanna will begin their five week visit tomorrow night or should I say extremely early Sunday morning; just after midnight. I am looking forward to my time with them; August is going to be a fun but very exhausting month. I pray the Lord gives me the strength and stamina this month will require of me. Talk to you again soon. Have a great weekend.
Love Tisha.
So I finally was able to watch the Epic/Adventure Inkheart a couple of days ago, now that it is on DVD (came out Tuesday, June 23rd) and I have to say I really enjoyed it.
Heard a few reviews here or there about it, when it came out in Theaters and it seemed that some had higher expectations and were unfortunately disappointed by the outcome; but for me I didn’t have a single expectation; just hopes.
I hoped that I would be entertained by this film and I was; I hoped that at some point I would sit forward in my chair anxiously awaiting what happens next and at times I did; I hoped that I would really despise the evil in this film and be routing for the good guys to hurry up and kick some butt and I did. So in my books; this movie did not waste two hours of my life and I did not want my money back; in fact; I think I’ll even get myself a copy for my personal collection; so that my family and I could sit together and enjoy it again and again.
I have always been a fan of most of Brendan Frasier’s work; The Mummy 3 not included. I loved The Mummy and I absolutely completely whole-heartedly (get the picture) adored The Mummy 2. Brendan Frasier makes me laugh and is pretty good at doing the whole hero bit and doing these kinds of films; he has had a lot of practice.
Inkheart is the first of its kind; in terms of its concept. It has an unique storyline; an interesting ending; one or two twists (predictable and unexpected); all and all I liked it; I’ll give it four stars or out of five; one star for a creative and original concept; one star for Brendan Frasier (who I love as an actor); another for the evil dude Capricorn played by Andy Serkis; who also portrays the naughty and disgusting Gollum/Smeagol in “The Lord of the Ring” series; and his wicked henchmen; and the last star for the very cute actor (Rafi Gavron-never seen him before) who played Farid; I probably appreciated and mentioned how cute he was about six times while watching this movie; other than his “cutie-patootiness” ; he really did not have much of a challenging or stand-out role to make you want to know him or crave more of his work; anyway I wish his cuteness and his career all the best.
I will put this film on my Epic movie collection shelf right between the Harry Potters and Stardust (have you seen that one, I absolutely love it, rent or buy it, pleeeeeaaaaaassssee). Oh, Chronicles of Narnia(s) is on that shelf too. What did you think of this movie, let me know, please?
Love yah, Love movies
Have a nice day
Tish.
I just wanted to give a short shout-out to asklatisha.com today; it’s exactly one year ago today I started posting on my blog. I am very proud; at present I have 104 post and 52 comments (hope to drastically improve that number next year); make that 105 post including this one.
Happy Birthday, AskLatisha.com.
I wanted to write more but I just finished writing a long review for the “Twilight” movie, I know, finally right?! So, I’ll keep it brief. This morning, I’m going to church; later I may chat with my mom on Skype, talk about my week of ups and downs; maybe leave home, maybe not. I had a good week and a lot to be thankful for; I have an interesting week ahead and I have a lot to hope and pray for. So pray for me and I’ll pray for you; pray for the continued growth and success of AskLatisha.com. Love you, have a great day, week, month and God bless you!

T.V Tonight! (Wednesday)
So, what am I, Latisha, going to be watching tonight on the tube? Yeah, I know I watch too much t.v; nevertheless; Wednesday nights have proven to be the best t.v night so far this summer. There are five shows I set my DVR to record.
Wipeout (ABC)- Wipeout is a fun, athletic reality show plus the laughter minus the drama and at the end of every single episode filled with entertainment, fun commentary and lots of laughs, one very lucky and very deserving contestant gets to take home $50’000. Awesome! Love it!
I Survived a Japanese Game Show (ABC)-An also very fun; funny; athletic reality series plus the laughter and the drama; where contestants get to fly to Japan and compete in a hilariously challenging “only the Japanese could think of this” game show for a chance to win $250’000; only one competitor can win. I am routing for the underdogs of the season (Season Two) the Red Robots Team who haven’t won a single game so far and has already lost two of their teammates; the Green Tigers are A-holes/Jerks. I hope the Red Robots finally put them in their place tonight.
Tyler
Perry’s Meet the Browns (TBS)- As you all know I am an avid Tyler Perry supporter but more than that I really enjoy Meet the Browns. It’s hilarious; thanks for the most part to the main character Leroy Brown. He isn’t a badass like Madea but on the laughter meter he can certainly hold his own.
So, yo
u think you can dance (Fox)- My favorite reality dance series; I love the choreography, the variety of dance styles, the judges, the concept, the quality of the dances and the young dancers trying to make it in the biz. It’s awesome entertainment for those who love the art of dance.
The Philanthropist (NBC)- I haven’t seen it yet; the pilot episode still remains in my things to watch list; but I am positive that I’ll like this show too. We’ll see. I’ll let you know.
HAPPY VIEWING!

Well it’s officially the beginning of the 7th month of 2009; which means half the year has gone already. How do you feel about that? Are you happy with what you have accomplished so far?
I’d have to say; my accomplishment meter isn’t bad all; it’s been a tough 6 months but I made it through now I am expecting a 100 % better second half.
So what’s up for the other half of 2009 for me? Well, I have the Second Trimester and Third Trimester of my pregnancy to complete; I have to give birth to my son, sometime late October or early November; when it’ll be all colorful outside; I have birthdays to celebrate, my 27th (Aug 28th), my daughter’s 3rd (Aug 24th), my sister Arriel’s 16th (29th Jul), my brother Shane’s 23rd (Oct 14th) and my mother’s 49th (Dec 3rd); I have Vacation Bible School (VBS); a baby shower; Thanksgiving; Christmas and so much more.
What’s up (with me) for this rest of this month? Well, my mother and my sister Tatyanna are coming to join Arriel (my sister who is here with me now) on the 25th; I have doctor’s appointments, a dentist appointment, a home nurse visit; youth meetings; VBS preparations, my sister’s birthday; July 4th fireworks and more.
In terms of t.v; the shows premiering this month that I am interested in are; “Great American Road trip” (NBC-7th); “10 Things I Hate About you” (ABC Family- 7th); Lifetime t.v movie “ Drop Dead Diva” (12th); Leverage (TNT-15th); ABC Family straight to television Lindsay Lohan movie “Labor Pains” (19th) and Alexa Vega t.v series “Ruby & the Rockits” (ABC Family-21st).
In the theaters; I’d go see if I could (movies premiering in July); opening today is “Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs”; opening the 15th is “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”; “G-Force” (24th); “The Ugly Truth” (24th); “Aliens in the Attic” (31st); I’d definitely choose “Aliens in the Attic,” if I only had one choice; it looks like a really fun, family, summer flick.
Coming out on DVD this month; I’d rent or buy; “Push” & “Knowing” (7th); “Coraline” & “Watchmen” (21st); “Dragonball: Evolution” & “Fast & Furious” (28th).
And that’s my July in a nutshell. I am looking forward to it. What’s your July going to be like? Talk to me?
