You know one of the reasons why I love life and think being alive is so totally fantabulous? Dance; using your body to express emotion; I always love to dance for the pure thrill of releasing all that negative energy and transforming it to a beautiful art. Dancing is one of God’s greatest creations of human activity and I think everyone should do it; whether it is alone in front the mirror; in the club on the dance floor; professionally or otherwise; you got to dance.

Psalm 20 (New International Version)

(For the director of music. A psalm of David.)
1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

2 May he send you help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.

3 May he remember all your sacrifices
and accept your burnt offerings. Read the rest of this entry »

Wow; when did Shia LeBeouf become such a heartthrob? He certainly did not grow out of his cuteness; he just got sexier and even a little edgy. I don’t know about you all but I like it. I have never seen a smoother transition from child star in children/family oriented films to hot-sexy action star in grown folk flicks. I am so proud.

Anyway; for many years I have been a great Indiana Jones fanatic; I love the entire trilogy; especially the one that co-starred the sexiest old man on the planet Sean Connery; “Indiana Jones and the last Crusade,” it was funny, exciting and totally awesome. Loved it!

So my question is; why; oh; why; did they take so long to do the fourth? I mean it was still good; as long as you watch it with a fresh pair of eyes; no expectations or comparisons.

MOVE! Get out the way; get out the way; Will Smith is coming and he’s here to stay. Okay, okay, enough with the cheese. I don’t know if I ever told you all this before but I am a huge Will Smith fan.
So guess what movie I recently went to see in the theaters; you know you can. No not “I am Legend,” although I did watch that too; it was alright. Okay; it was probably better than alright but it wasn’t my type of film; I only watched it because it starred and I mean starred one of the sexiest (in more ways than one) men in Hollywood.

Anyway; did you guess yet? Let me give you another clue; it also stars Jason Bateman and Charlize Theron. You know what it is now, don’t you? But do you know how awesome it was. Did you watch it? What did you think?

Apparently I must be a teenybopper at heart; always reviewing teen movies but what can I say; I am who I am; love me or don’t.

So what do I think of Camp Rock? I thought it was okay. I think the Jonas Brothers are cute in a teen heartthrob sort of way (would have had a real crush on Joe Jonas, if I was still a teen). I like their music but mostly I really like what they represent as young people; I think they are excellent role models for their generation.

I liked that Alyson Stoner was in this movie; I recognize her face but it took me a while to figure out who she was; I knew for sure though; when she put down a slight move at the turntable; but boy she is all grown up. When did that happen? I’m really looking forward to seeing her shine for a change as oppose to basking in the ray of someone else’s sunlight; as she has been doing for years.

Here are three of my favorite videos of all time. I think the songs are hot and the women who sing them are even hotter. It should be a crime to be that sexy. I’d say I wish I was sexy like that but I really don’t. I desire to be my own kind of sexy and I think the greatest sex appeal a woman could have is love and respect for themselves as well as confidence. It’s okay, to appreciate other’s sex appeal but don’t want to be sexy like them; be your own kind of sexy. Be yourself.

When I first heard that Tyler Perry’s House of Payne was coming to TBS and that I would finally be able to watch it; I was ecstatic for me, Tyler and the t.v viewing world.

This was a time when television shows endorsing Christian values were virtually non-existent, shows like Touched by an Angel, Promised Land and 7th Heaven were either off air or in rerun mode. No one was talking about God anymore except on Christian and Religious networks.

Then here he comes, my man Tyler, who speaks boldly of God in everything he puts out there. Who mentioned in an e-mail to his fans; that he had an opportunity to write a sitcom before but the network wanted him to change many things and not talk about Jesus and he refused; because if he couldn’t talk about his Jesus then he wanted nothing to do with it.

Honestly, I really liked this movie, I know you are probably thinking, wow, this girl is so easily pleased and boy, she seems to like the cheesy lovey-dovey stuff. Yup, that’s me, I’m a complete sucker for feel-good, happy ending, true-love finding movies and I don’t believe they are as far-fetched as we make them out to be.

I just think real life and the real world could be so harsh, scary and serious, so I don’t see why my chosen entertainment has to be the same way. I love how certain movies can ignite the romantic, adventurous side of us, we let die as we grow older. I watch these kinds of movies to make sure I keep my dreams and fantasies alive. So I don’t forget about love, taking risk, being courageous and loving your self.

As far as Chick Flicks go; this would pass for a very good one. I like the story, the characters and the actors who portray them. It is good heart-warming entertainment for those of you, who are like me, that love happy endings and simply sweet love stories.

I am so impressed with this show; I honestly think teens and their parents should watch it together or teens should have weekly t.v parties, get together, eat popcorn and watch this show. I have never watched a teen drama that has been a truer representation of all walks of teenage life and issues in the adolescent community. Even me, who still remains stuck in a teenager’s way of thinking sometimes, can relate to these characters and see the reflection of people I know in some of them. This is REAL and this is REAL LIFE.
