Hey Guys,

This is my second post for my seasonoflove series. In my first post I shared with you a biblical based fun love themed ice breaker game that you could use at your Valentine’s Day themed get-togethers or ministry meetings. Click here to check it out.

Now today, I’d like to share with you some really fun personalized Valentine’s Day gift ideas. These ideas will take some extra effort and time on your part. So if you are willing to give of your time and love, you’ll show your loved one just how much they mean to you and how special they are in a very special way.

scavengerhunt

Let them look for love notes all over the house, that tells them why they are special and loved by you. Cut notes in shape of hearts and each note should have a clue to where to find the next note. Save the best for last. Let the last note be the most special of all- like “Will You Marry Me?” “I’m Glad God Gave Me You,” ” Let’s Go Out to Dinner,” “Let’s go on a trip.” Get the idea.

candlelight dinner2

Do you have a projector and a big empty wall in your living room, bedroom or special family room? After the kids have gone to bed. Make special dinner, get a beach front photo of a beach you have been to or desktop wallpaper. Project it on the wall, play calming seascape sounds. Put candles on floor, as well as a special dinner and wine. Dress up like you were going to dinner at a beach front restaurant. Eat, laugh and enjoy each others company. This was something my husband did for me a few birthdays ago, it made my night.

love note christmas tree

Spray paint a small artificial Christmas tree red or skip the spray painting part. Put twenty or more heart shaped homemade ornaments that each says something about why you love that person and what makes them special. This would be a great project to do with kids. It could even be an activity that focuses on the entire family, as oppose to just one person. Every one could write what they love about each other.

lettertogod

Write a Love Letter to God- Thanking him for this special person, telling him how much you are blessed and what makes that person a special gift to you. Give this letter as a gift to that person be the “special keeper of that letter.” This would make a special gift for tween/teen sons and daughters of God.
